Our next group to trial racehorse ownership, with the Experience It campaign, is the Hurry Up & Fly Syndicate from Galway. The 10-member syndicate all have a keen interest in racing with many having had family members previously involved in owning racehorses. Conor Laffey, responsible for forming the syndicate, said “Ownership is something we have been considering for a while now and the Horse Racing Ireland ‘Experience It’ campaign looked the perfect opportunity".

SPIRITUAL LAW will carry the groups colours at Tipperary races this evening, with jockey Ian McCarthy on board.

The syndicate have linked up with trainer Paul Flynn, who has no less than a Galway Hurdle success on his CV courtesy of MOONDICE. He and his wife Claire have been busy updating the group throughout their ownership trial and hosted a very informative yard visit for the syndicate late in April.

“I am looking forward to having the horse run for the lads”, said Paul. “He was in at Kilbeggan earlier in the month but unfortunately got balloted. It is only his second start over hurdles and the bit of nice ground should help.”

Tune into the first race at Tipperary at 5.15 p.m. to see if the Hurry Up & Fly Syndicate will be visiting the winner’s enclosure.
